International FC Acquires League1 Ontario Men’s and Women’s Licenses

The club joins League1 Ontario following the acquisition of Men’s and Women’s licenses from Alliance United FC.

League1 Ontario welcomes International FC, York Region’s largest soccer academy, as the club prepares to compete in League1 Ontario beginning in the 2026 season, following the acquisition of Men’s and Women’s licenses from Alliance United FC.

The licenses have been transferred from Alliance United FC, operated by Markham Soccer Club. Alliance United competed in the League1 Ontario environment from 2017 and has since stepped back from League1 competition, transferring both licenses to International FC.

International FC brings prior League1 experience through its affiliation with Masters FA Saints and has been actively pursuing its debut as a primary license holder in League1 Ontario. As York Region’s largest academy, the club has established a comprehensive development pathway aligned with Ontario Soccer’s high-performance framework.

For the 2026 season, International FC will field a Men’s First Team competing in the League1 Ontario Premier Division. The club will also field a Men’s Reserve Team in the League2 Division and a team competing in the U20 League.

International FC will also field a Women’s First Team competing in the League1 Ontario Championship Division for the 2026 season. In addition, the club will operate a Women’s Reserve Team competing in the Women’s League2 Division.

International FC will host its 2026 home matches at Zanchin Automotive Soccer Centre while its future home venue, Dufferin Community Centre, undergoes redevelopment to meet League1 Ontario standards for the 2027 season.

“This moment represents the natural culmination of a journey that began many years ago, driven by a clear football vision,” said Giuseppe Mattace Raso, League1 Head Coach and General Manager, International FC. “IFC’s entry into League1 is built on professionalism, consistency, and genuine collaborations.”

The addition of International FC reflects League1 Ontario’s continued growth and commitment to strengthening the high-performance soccer pathway across Ontario.
